It’s time for the fourth week of the LPL 2020 Summer Season! We’re almost through the middle of the season, and we’ve witnessed a good amount of games to gauge where our favorite teams have placed.

Week 4, Day 1

Much to everyone’s surprise at this point, Victory Five is having a stellar run, and they look to continue to siege through the tournament even more. Vici Gaming is playing on this day against Victory Five. Two playoffs teams, namely eStar and Royal Never Give Up will be playing as well.

This is a good setup to start the week with a mildly explosive batch of teams duking it out on the Rift.

Victory Five versus Vici Gaming

Victory Five (2.15 to win) soared from the lowest point of the Spring season into the current 2nd placer in the Summer leaderboards. There’s not a single player who’s playing terribly so far. Ppgod’s Thresh is godly, Mole has played over 7 champions in the mid and won, Samd is shaping to become a great AD carry, Weiwei is impacting his lanes well, and Biubiu is a solid toplaner overall.

Vici Gaming (1.54 to win) still has the odds in their favor, given that they almost scraped a slot for playoffs last Spring. Despite Leyan moving from Invictus Gaming to VG, it looks like the team still prefers the reliable Aix as their jungler. As the saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

While Victory Five has indeed won more games, the battle against Vici Gaming will be their toughest one for now. We’re predicting a VG win for this one, but be wary of V5 stepping up.

eStar versus Royal Never Give Up

eStar (2.83 to win) is still the coin flip team that we know. They beat LNG and Dominus in the past weeks, but lost to Bilibili Gaming and LGD in the same period. Wink may be the most consistent player in the roster, but what about the rest? We can only find out on the following games, but that’s their current status in a nutshell.

Royal Never Give Up (1.31 to win) has become one of the strongest teams since Betty took Uzi’s position in the bot lane. Not only did he carry on Uzi’s legacy, he also synergizes with the rest of RNG so well that the retirement of the best ADC in the world didn’t shake the team. It’s no secret as to why their odds are so favorable; they’re just that strong of a team.

eStar is facing a completely different RNG, one that is vastly different from the Spring Playoffs. Thus, Royal Never Give Up will likely take the win of this match.
