One week has finally passed in August, and we’re getting closer to the end of the seasons of the biggest tournaments. Playoffs are coming soon!
For Dota 2 fans that are looking forward to the Arcanas, the Top 16 came out this week and we are looking at some pretty promising picks.
Check out who’s going into Playoffs and who are in the Arcana Top 16 below!
League of Legends
LPL 2020 Summer Season
Three of the four major regular seasons will be concluding today, thus it is a great time to look at who will be seeing in the playoffs in the following weeks! Let’s start first with the home favorite, the LPL.
The Top 3 teams have been firmly set in stone as they have finished all their series for this season. From 1st to 3rd, the LPL’s best teams heading into preseason are: Top Esports, JD Gaming, and Invictus Gaming! Reminiscent of the Spring season, these three teams also held the top spot with iG at 1st place, JDG at 2nd place, and TES at 4th place.
The biggest battle today now lies in who will snag the second Quarterfinals Seed at 4th place. Currently, Suning is holding the most potential to taking the seed. If they can take down FunPlus Phoenix in today’s second match of the day, or falter and let Victory Five take the bye in their place.
LCS 2020 Summer Season
Let’s head on to the Western side of the world. As Worlds 2020 draws near, this is the closest period in time to see who in the west are currently fighting to make a name for themselves.
In the North American scene, Team Liquid is reigning supreme in 1st place, followed by Cloud9. Both teams have their own stories during the Spring season, where Cloud9 reigned supreme with a 17-1 score and 94% winrate, while Team Liquid failed to make it to playoffs at 9th place out of 10 teams. They are looking promising this time around, as the competition for receiving a bye to Round 2 Playoffs is within grasp of Cloud 9, Team SoloMid, and FlyQuest.
LEC 2020 Summer Season
Meanwhile in Europe, a new challenger is rising up the charts in MAD Lions. Formerly falling short in the Spring Playoffs, they have became much cleaner in their gameplay, managing to beat G2 and Fanatic but losing some games to mid to high tier teams.
Following MAD Lions in 1st place is Rogue, G2 Esports, and SK Gaming. Nothing is set in stone, and with how close their scores are, some players may inadvertently seed to Loser’s Bracket if they’re not careful enough in today’s matches.

Moon Studio Asian League
Playoffs started about four days ago, and it could not have been any more explosive. Right now, Execration and Team Black are expected to go head-to-head in the Grand Finals to determine the winner and runner-up of the Moon Studio Asian League.
Execration worked their way from Round 1 Upper Bracket, only dropping a single game on the way to the finals. On the other hand, Team Black lost to Execration in the Upper Bracket Finals but immediately bounced back to Grand Finals after beating iG Vitality, the same team they beat in Round 1.

Arcana Top 16
Wykrhm Reddy @wykrhm released an image confirming the votes on the Arcana Top 16!
The current vote battle for the next Arcana are as follows:
Group A: (1) Lion vs. Mirana; (2) Faceless Void vs. Chaos Knight; (3) Sniper vs. Templar Assassin; (4) Anti-Mage vs. Riki
Group B: (1) Spectre vs. Morphling; (2) Luna vs. Sven; (3) Invoker vs. Phantom Lancer; (4) Drow Ranger vs. Witch Doctor
In Group A, the current leading vote is with Anti-Mage, garnering an overwhelming 79.4% of the votes against Huskar in the previous round of Arcana voting. In Group B, Spectre leads the group with 71.3% of the votes against Kunkka in the previous round as well.
Overall, the most voted was Faceless Void in the previous round. This is great news for Faceless Void mains, but they are also sensing that it is too good to be true, as he has similar situations in the past where his votes fell short on the rounds that matter.
Invoker got into Top 16 by a close call against Thunder Spirit in the previous round. Some players are already complaining that Invoker already has enough Immortals and a Persona to boot, and giving him an Arcana would be too much.
Who are you expecting to get an Arcana in this round of Arcana Vote?
