Previous Match Results and Statistics

The last time these two teams faced each other, it was an all OG show at the lower bracket final of BLAST Bounty Hunt. The playoffs started with both Team Nigma and OG in the upper bracket, after Team Nigma faced Team Secret in the second round, they advanced to the lower bracket and clawed their way to the top with a much longer path only to fall short in the end against OG.

In their first game, it was a one-sided show as OG annihilated Team Nigma in just 26 minutes. With Topson back in the OG lineup, the European powerhouse has been slowly regaining the dominance they had before Topson took a break. His Earth Spirit was phenomenal in game 1 totally outplaying w33’s Huskar in their midlane matchup. He ended up with 10 kills and a whopping 19 assists while only suffering two deaths. Topson was not a lone star though as the whole super team showed no weakness in this game, SumaiL’s Lycan got 11 kills and 11 assists with no deaths, Midone’s offlane Kunkka ended the game with 8/2/12 KDA. The support duo also put up impressive numbers as well as they finished the game with a 37-10 total team kill score.

The second game was not as one-sided as the first one as Team Nigma was actually able to end the game with more kills than OG. Miracle- was able to find more kills as a carry Ember Spirit in this game compared to his game 1 performance where got severely under-farmed and picked-off multiple times. It might’ve been a sign of the team’s desperation as w33 brought out his Meepo as they faced an elimination match. He rose to the occasion and held his ground in the midlane against Topson in this game and had the highest net worth for the game in true Meepo fashion. Team Nigma was actually in the lead and in control for majority of the game until Midone got his Aghanim’s Scepter for Underlord. Things took a complete turnaround as the scepter enabled Topson and SumaiL to dish out more damage as right click heroes. In the end, OG looked to be the better team in this game as they just kept winning team fight after team fight despite perfect initiations from Team Nigma.

Predictions

With the lines not favoring any team for this match-up, things are looking really interesting. Without even odds, I am looking at OG to take this one, they just seem to be the better team in terms of talent and team synergy.

Despite getting swept by Team Secret in the BLAST Bounty Hunt Finals, I believe that OG is the closest competition to Team Secret in this region and who knows, maybe they might slay the dragon in this tournament and have a new team be crowned as the kings of Europe/CIS DOTA.
