The NBA board of governors have unanimously voted to resume the 2019-20 season on July 31st (August 1st in Manila) at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida. The teams will include the 16 squads who currently hold a playoff spot and six other that are still in the hunt.
The higher seeds rightfully deserved playing in front of their home crowd, and they have some pretty unique ideas that’ll make up for the lost advantages.
After basically zeroing in on July 31st as the return date (August 1 in Manila) and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida as the venue, it is now reported that the league office and team executives have also agreed on proceeding with a 22-team return, which may extend the season up to October 12. The two parties will be meeting again this Friday to cast votes that will make the return plan official.
